REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the attaching screw and door handle.
  2. Remove the armrest.
  3. Push in on the door panel, slightly, at the window handle and pry off the snapring retaining the handle to the regulator stem. Remove the handle.
  4. Carefully slip a thin prying instrument behind the door panel and slide it along until you hit one of the retaining clips. Pry as close as possible to the clip to snap the clip from the door. Be very careful to avoid tearing the clip from the panel.
  5. Pry out each clip, in turn, and lift off the door panel.
  6. Installation is the reverse of removal. When snapping the clips into place, make sure that they are squarely over the holes to avoid bending them.

  1. Remove the attaching screw and door handle and plate.
  2. Remove the plug in the top of the armrest and remove the panel support bracket screw underneath.
  3. On models with power windows, remove the power window switch.
  4. Push in on the door panel, slightly, at the window handle and pry off the snapring retaining the handle to the regulator stem. Remove the handle.
  5. Carefully slip a thin prying instrument, like a wood spatula, behind the door panel and slide it along until you hit one of the retaining clips. Pry as close as possible to the clip to snap the clip from the door. Be very careful to avoid tearing the clip from the panel.
  6. Pry out each clip, in turn, and lift off the door panel.
  7. Installation is the reverse of removal. When snapping the clips into place, make sure that they are squarely over the holes to avoid bending them.
Navajo

  1. Open the window. Remove the 2 screws retaining the trim panel located above the door handle.
  2. Remove the rim cup behind the door handle using a small prying tool. Retention nibs will flex for ease of removal.
  3. If equipped with power accessories, use the notch at the lower end of the plate and pry the plate off. Remove the plate from the trim panel and pull the wiring harness from behind the panel. Disconnect the harness from the switches.
  4. Using a flat wood spatula, insert it carefully behind the panel and slide it along to find the push-pins. When you encounter a pin, pry the pin outward. Do this until all the pins are out. NEVER PULL ON THE PANEL TO REMOVE THE PINS!
  5. Lift slightly to disengage the panel from the flange at the top of the door.
  6. Disconnect the door courtesy lamp and remove the panel completely. Replace any damaged or bent attaching clips.
  7. Installation is the reverse of removal.
