Electronic Control Unit

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Navajo and B Series Pick-up
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Unplug the wiring from the ECU.
  3. Remove the mounting bolts, slide the ECU off its bracket.
  4. Installation is the reverse of removal. Torque the mounting screw to 5-6 ft. lbs. and the connector bolt to 4-5 ft. lbs.

    NOTE: After reconnecting the battery, it may take 10 miles or more of driving for the Powertrain Control Module to relearn its driveability codes.

MPV

The ABS Electronic Control Unit is mounted to the side of the hydraulic control unit. Refer to the hydraulic control unit removal procedure earlier in this section.
