Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Raise and safely support the vehicle.
Unplug the wiring harness connector.
Disconnect the brake lines from the valve and plug the lines.
Remove the mounting bolt retaining the unit to the frame rail and remove
the hydraulic control unit from the vehicle.
Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the hydraulic control unit
mounting bolt to 12–17 ft. lbs. (16–22 Nm). Tighten the brake
lines to 113–190 inch lbs. (13–23 Nm).
Bleed the brakes. It is not necessary to energize the solenoid valves to
bleed the rear brakes.
