REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Navajo and B Series Pick-up Models

  1. Disconnect the antenna lead-in cable from the cable assembly in-line connector above the glove box.
  2. Working under the instrument panel, disengage the cable from its retainers.

    NOTE: On some models, it may be necessary to remove the instrument panel pad to get at the cable.

  3. Unscrew the antenna mast from the base.
  4. Outside, unsnap the cap from the antenna base.
  5. Remove the 3 screws and lift off the antenna, pulling the cable with it, carefully.
  6. Remove and discard the gasket.

    To install:

  7. Place the gasket in position on the cowl panel.
  8. Insert the antenna cable through the hole and seat the antenna base on the cowl. Secure with the 3 screws.
  9. Position the cap over the antenna base and snap it into place.
  10. Install the antenna mast to the base.
  11. Route the cable in exactly the same position as before removal behind the instrument panel.
  12. Connect the cable to the in-line connector above the glove box.
MPV Models
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the passenger's side interior front scuff plate.
  3. Remove the passenger's side front side trim.
  4. Remove the windshield molding.
  5. Remove the right side front mud guard.

  6. Using snap ring pliers, remove the top mounting nut.
  7. Remove the spacer.
  8. Disconnect antenna lead.
  9. Remove the antenna mast mounting bolt.
  10. Remove the antenna from the vehicle.

    To install:

  11. Place the antenna in the vehicle in its proper position and tighten the mounting bolt.
  12. Connect the antenna lead.
  13. Install the spacer.
  14. Install and tighten the top mounting nut, using a pair of snap ring pliers.
  15. Install the right side front mud guard.
  16. Install the windshield molding.
  17. Install the passenger's side front side trim.
  18. Install the passenger's side interior front scuff plate.
  19. Connect the negative battery cable. Turn on the radio and check the reception.
