Hood

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

NOTE: It is highly recommended that you have at least one assistant helping during this operation.

1. Open the hood.
2. Matchmark the hood-to-hinge position.

   Fig. 2: Disconnect the windshield washer hose from the connection on the underside of the hood

   Fig. 3: Using a box wrench, and with the aid of a helper, loosen and remove the four hood-to-hinge mounting bolts

3. Disconnect any electrical wire harness plugs.
4. Disconnect the windshield washer hose.
5. Have you're assistant(s) support the weight of the hood.
6. Remove the hood-to-hinge bolts and lift the hood off of the hinges.
7. Installation is the reverse of the removal. Loosely install the hood and align the matchmarks. Tighten the mounting bolts to the following specifications:
   • Navajo: 5–8 ft. lbs. (7–11 Nm)
   • B Series Pick-up: 8–10 ft. lbs. (10–14 Nm)
   • MPV: 14–17 ft. lbs. (19–23 Nm)
